TRAI released TRAI MYSPEED App for IOS and Android

Telecom Regulatory Authority of India has released new app to test your internet speed and send the result data to Telecom Regulatory Authority of India.

This application allows you to measure your data speed experience and sends the results to TRAI. The application captures and sends coverage, data speed and other network information along with device and location of the tests. The app does not send any personal user information. All results are reported anonymously. While this application gives TRAI details of your data experience, sending a report to TRAI does not constitute a complaint. In case of poor experience, users are requested to register a complaint with their network service providers.

This app checks your SIM card or even wifi connection speed and sends the information to TRAI.

This app is as good as speedtest and results are reliable.

By using this app, you can send the results to TRAI but it’s not complaint based, you need to raise the complaints with the respective provider.

A word of caution: Internet speed test apps can use a lot of data – up to 30MB every time you run a test. This could be a big issue for those on tight data limits.
